Articles of Confederation and the Constitution are two of the most credible records of the American Revolution. The Articles of Confederation preceded the Constitution of the United State and it was the primary fruitful effort towards arranging and assembling the first thirteen settlements of the United States.

However, the Constitutionof the United States is the foundation of the Modern United States government and is considered by Americans wherever as the single most prominent bit of document composed.

The Constitution would create a strong governing Federal Government, run by three branches of government – the Executive, the Legislature, and the Judiciary.

The Articles of Confederation

The Articles of Confederation was created on the 15th of November, 1777. The initial draft was composed by Benjamin Franklin, yet this bore little closeness to the last affirmed adaptation. It actually went through six drafts before it was finalized.

The last three drafts were composed by John Dickson and reconsidered by Congressional advisory groups. The composition of the last draft of the US Constitution is accredited to Gouverneur Morris, one of the individuals from the drafting board.

The Articles of Confederation preceded the U.S. Constitution. It was primarily created in order to help the original American colonies in leveraging or requesting assistance from foreign governments. It is interesting to note that, the article of Confederation contains 13 articles.

The Constitution of the United States of America

It began on September 17, 1787, and was eventually ratified on June 21, 1788. The Constitution works with a bicameral governing body that is alluded to as the Congress – it is partitioned into the House of Representatives and the Senate.

The Congress permits up to two Senators for each state and Representatives relying upon the number of inhabitants in the state they speak to. The Constitution has continually been dependent upon numerous changes and amendments.

In order to put the Constitution into motion, the writers compromised heavily, in the long run making two distinct places of Congress and a heavy measure of forces despite everything dwelling with the States.

The record was then put to cast a ballot by singular states, and inevitably passed, making the United States of America in its modern sense.

Notable Differences Between Articles of Confederation And Constitution

1. The first constitution of America, preceding the present constitution while the present constitution used by the United States of America known as the U.S. Constitution.

2. The Articles of Confederation was created on the 15th of November, 1777. The Constitution of the United State of America was created on the 7th of September, 1787.

3. The U.S. Constitution was rectified on June 21, 1788.  The Article of Confederation was rectified on the 1st of March, 1781.

4. The voting mechanism for instituting the Article of Confederation is one vote per state. Each Senator or Representative had to vote for the constitution to be adopted.

5. The Articles of Confederation went through six drafts before it was finalized.

6. The Articles of Confederation were based on an agreement of nine states (Except Canada). The Constitution of the United State of America was based on an agreement of Congress.

7. Taxation in the Articles of Confederation apportioned by Congress and collected by the states while for the case of the constitution it collected by Congress.

8. Amendment of the Articles of Confederation on the agreement of all states while amendment of the Constitution is based on the agreement of ¾ of all states.

9. For the Constitution, the mantle of leadership is on the speaker of the House of Representatives while for the Articles of Confederation is the President of the Congress.

10. The Us Constitution has 27 amendments and 7 articles while the Articles of Confederation contains 13 articles.
