Original: November 6, 2019, 2:15 p.m. ET:

The Masked Singer season 2 is only just getting started, but we're already fully invested in figuring out who's wearing each of the show's elaborate costumes — including the Leopard. So, if you're still feeling stumped by this sly cat's tricks, look no further: We've rounded up the best internet theories about who's hiding behind the Leopard's mask.

Who is the Leopard on The Masked Singer?

It might seem foolish for fans to be so certain of their guesses this early in the competition. But viewers have been sharing their ideas about the Leopard for some time now, and we have to admit that they've made some pretty convincing arguments: According to the most avid fans on the internet, the Leopard on The Masked Singer could be ... singer-songwriter Seal, reality show host RuPaul, or comedian Tommy Davidson.

Before you go rolling your eyes at these genius theories, let us walk you through all the clues we have so far:

  • At one time, "no one could catch" the Leopard, but now "all everyone wants to talk about is the celebrity aspect."
  • This masked singer "wasn't always wanted," and a clue reel showed him being dropped off at doorstep as a baby. (Note: The door showed the number 1963.)
  • Today, the Leopard is "living in color."
  • In a season 2 sneak peek episode, Nick Cannon revealed the Leopard's costume was meant to hide the singer's "natural silhouette."

The internet's top top guesses and theories for the Leopard:

Seal

The theory: Perhaps one of the most popular internet theories is that the Leopard on The Masked Singer is singer-songwriter Seal. Those who argue that it's Seal behind the Leopard's mask say his British accent, a handful of references to his lyrics in the clue reels, and his former, highly publicized relationship with Heidi Klum (the "celebrity aspect" the Leopard refers to) are all dead giveaways. The fact that he was born in 1963 — before spending his early years with a foster family — is an important clue, as well.

Seal also acted very suspiciously when recently asked if he was on the show, which is very interesting indeed.

RuPaul

The theory: Another popular theory among The Masked Singer fans is that the Leopard is actor, TV personality, and host of RuPaul's Drag Race, RuPaul. Not only is RuPaul game when it comes to reality TV (he hosts his own competition show, after all), but he's also a singer and songwriter. Just check out one of his many hits below.

Tommy Davidson

The theory: A newer theory started to circulate after the October 16 episode, when this masked singer revealed more about himself in another clue reel: The Leopard, according to some fans, has to be comedian Tommy Davidson.

Tommy, who was also born in 1963, was abandoned by his birth mother before being adopted by his rescuer. He later went on to star in In Living Color, which is a show that aired (coincidentally) on Fox from 1990 to 1994 — and a phrase that the Leopard, himself, used in his clue reel. Plus, Tommy's been known to sing from time to time. Hmmm ...
