„Glücklich sein kann so einfach sein!“ – das dachte sich Gabi Röhrl oft, als sie auf dem Jakobsweg unterwegs war. Dieses Gefühl wollte die gebürtige Holledauerin auch anderen vermitteln. Darum machte sich die Autodidaktin daran, ein scheinbar unmögliches Unterfangen in die Tat umzusetzen: Nämlich einen Pilgerweg nach Santiago de Compostela, filmisch für die Kinoleinwand zu dokumentieren – alleine, mit professioneller Kameraausrüstung, als Teil der Pilger. Ein Dokumentarfilm in dem immer der Weg selbst „Hauptdarsteller bleibt, was ihn unverwechselbar macht
