What Parents Need to Know

Parents need to know that My Horse is a social sim that lets players collect 11 different breeds of horses, groom and feed them, and enter them in show jumping competitions with the goal of reaching the World Championship. The game is free to play, but players can spend real money to speed up the game, replenish energy, and purchase exclusive items. Users can share high scores via the Game Center social network, and post updates on Facebook, but participation is optional.

If it weren't for the IAP it would be good

This game is really fun and easy, but it is really hard to earn more than 2,000 coins in the game. Also almost everything in the game MUST be purchased with gems, or a crazy amount of coins. Only 3 horse breeds are available for purchase with coins, the rest need gems which must be bought with real money. It is a detailed game with fun gameplay but it gets boring quick unless you purchase gems. Fun, but very pushy in IAP.

Is It Any Good?

For anyone who's dreamed of owning their own horse, MY HORSE offers a glimpse into the world of stables and show-jumping. The app boasts high production values, and the level of realism and detail on the horses is impressive. But while there's ostensibly plenty to do, it's a shame that more of it isn't actually interactive. It's disappointing that some of the tasks that sound quite fun -- like renting your horse to the local fair to give rides to kids -- are only shown as timers that tick down before you can claim the reward, rather than a mini-game or animations in their own right. Kids might also be tempted to spend real-world money on perks like special saddles and riding gear, and to speed up the game to avoid waiting hours for tasks to get completed.

Not only have they brought thoroughbred ownership to the masses; they’ve done so at an incredibly minor cost (Our investments range from $80 to $500 per horse with ZERO future expense). This incredible concept has sparked the interests of thoroughbred racing fans world-wide and for very good reason. We’ve invested in 36 MRH horses to date. We’ve won a Kentucky Derby and a Breeders Cup Classic not to mention a plethora of other big name races. My own wife, who knew little about the sport is now one of the biggest fans. Multiple friends who would never have been involved are now MRH shareholders as well! We’re all having the time of our lives, and for less than the cost of a nice meal. There were some things the common man’s money just could not buy; now there’s MyRaceHorse. Let ’em loose!! Wooohooo!!!!

Soooo much fun riding the ups and downs of being an owner! The inside information and detailed updates on my horses is second to none. The team at MyRacehorse are great with communication, and obviously passionate about there horses, owners, and the business. At track events they are friendly and love to talk all things horse racing from the restaurant offerings, to the stats on the form. Being an owner has been a great experience in general, but best of all it has elevated my race days to an all time high!

I just wanted to say that I’ve been a racing fan since I was ten, wanted to be a bloodstock agent as a kid when other kids wanted to be a doctor, entertainer, pro athlete, you name it. Didn’t quite make it, but did work in the backstretch for a while and never let the sport leave my heart. As an MRH owner, I have come as close as I think I will at my age to owning a racehorse. Amazingly, I’ve learned so much more than I thought I would. Also, I’ve experienced more emotions than just being a fan could possibly allow. Joy, excitement, anticipation, patience, disappointment, are all so much more intense when you have ownership than when you are simply a fan. Thankfully I haven’t experienced sadness, but I know that could be a reality at any moment. Thank you MRH for allowing me to attain a little piece of my dream.
