Installation of the LabVIEW 8.5.1 runtime error: "this application has requested execution to terminate in an unusual way.
Hello
a colleague in India can not install runtime LabVIEW 8.5.1 on Windows XP. On try installing, an error box appears, which says:
(window title)
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime library:
(text of message box)
Runtime error!
Program: C:\National Instruments Downloads\LabVIEW 8.5.1\Runtime Engine\setup.exe
This application has requested the execution to terminate in an unusual way.
For more information, contact the application support team.
//img529.imageshack.us/my.php?image=runtimeerrorvt7.jpg
I found no relevant clues for that in the forums of NOR. A Google search led me to //support.microsoft.com/kb/884538/en-us, offering a fix for the problem. Unfortunately, the installation of this hotfix does not solve the problem.
You know this problem and you have any ideas, how can the problem be solved?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards
Manual

Error message: Visual C++ Runtime Library "this application has requested execution to terminate in an unusual way" when opening a program photo
When I try now, try to open a photo program that has worked for over 2 years, I get a message from Visual C++ Runtime Library "this application has requested execution to terminate in an unusual way. I installed the program (Roxio PhotoSuite 7 Platinum) was last updated. I installed the latest update to Visual C++. I tried a "clean boot". None of them have worked. Any suggestions?
Hi Jim,.
1. This only happens when you try to open the photo program or with everyone?
Step 1:
Because you are still facing problems, you can try to uninstall Visual C++ Redistributable Package installed programs & features completely and check.
Step 2
You can download & install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package from this link.
For 32 bit: Download Details: Package redistributable Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 (x 86)
For 64-bit: Download Details: Package redistributable Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 (x 64)
Hope this information is useful.

I get error message when I am in POGO, a game program "this application has requested execution to terminate in an unusual way" then I have to connect to the internet again - why?
When I'm in the POGO which is program where you can play games,
I get an error message which reads as follows:
"Microsoft Visual C Runtime Library, runtime error,
Program C:\Program Explorer\iexplore.exe may
This application has requested the execution to terminate in an unusual way.
For more information, contact the application support team"
This type of error can be caused if the Visual C++ library runtime components are missing or because of a third-party software.
Follow the steps below:
Method 1:
If the problem is caused by the lack of Visual C++ libraries, you can download and install the Runtime components of Visual C++ libraries from the link below:
This error can occur when the Microsoft .NET Framework installation on the computer is damaged or is missing.
Try it out below step to reinstall and repair installation of Microsoft .NET Framework on the computer, then check if you can install the software.
(a) click the Start button, select Control Panel, click programs and then click on 'Turn Windows has or not.' If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
(b) search for Microsoft .NET framework 3.5.1 uncheck, click OK and restart the computer.
(c) after the reboot, open again "Turn Windows features on or off" and place a check next to Microsoft .NET framework 3.5.1 and restart the computer.
Step 2
If the previous step fails, then I suggest that you manually download and install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 and 2008 Redistributable Package and check to see if you can install the software.
Package redistributable Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 (x 86)

Receive the Error Message"this application has requested execution to terminate in an unusual way" when starting
Original title: when I connect I get this message
"This application has requested the execution to terminate in an unusual way."
Hello
Were there any changes (hardware or software) to the computer before the show?
Put the computer to boot and check if the problem persists.
To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
Note: follow step 7 to reset the computer to start as usual after the boot process.

@ start up, I get a box that says microsoft visual c ++ Runtime library... this application has requested time to close in an unusual way
On startup, I get a box that says microsoft visual c ++ runtimelibrary... this application has requested time to close in an unusual way... I click on OK, but after several minutes of "Please wait", the same pop mailbox and I can't log on to my laptop. It started after a windows update that I did. Once in a while, if I stop the computer laptop and reboot, I'll only get this box once and then it will allow me to connect and everything is fine after that.
Hello
Step 1:
You can try to start in safe mode and check if the problem persists. Only basic files and drivers needed to run Windows are started. If a problem doesn't reappear when you start in safe mode, you can eliminate the default settings and basic as possible cause device drivers. To start in safe mode follow the link.
//Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode
Step 2:
If the problem does not occur in safe mode then boot to the desktop in normal mode and check that the third-party program is causing the problem. To configure your computer to clean boot follow the link below.
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
//support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: When you are finished troubleshooting, follow step 7 article to start on normal startup.

When I finally got to Windows to restart, I also removed the printer and imaging-HP Photosmart driver and restarted the laptop again. Who did the tour and the question was not re-emerged even after I reinstalled McAfee and the driver of the HP Photosmart camera.

AH HA!
I finally solved this!
The culprit is a virtual CD drive. I have an installed application and allows me to mount a disk image file (.) (ISO) as a virtual drive. When I have a virtual disk mounted, I get error VC ++, but when I eject the virtual disk, so there is no more virtual drives, DVD Maker is happy.
Thanks for your help, Ronnie.
I hope that this discovery helps others!

Hello
always check the compatibility of vista programs on the link below
//www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-Vista/default.aspx
If a program is compatible with vista you can try right click on the setup.exe, and then selecting run as administrator
It is not compatible with vista, you can try running it in a previous operating system mode
This does not work for all programs

construction Setup error: this application has requested the execution to terminate in an unusual way
Hello
I'm building an appliction using LabView 8.2 with Report Generation Toolkit for MS Office V1.1.1 on a WinXP SP3 system without any error. When I try to compile a coresponding Installer, I got the following error message:
This application has requested the execution to terminate in an unusual way.
Can someone help me?
Hi Gunnar
First of all just save the contents of the disk on your computer. Then...
The local cache paths are stored in the registry keys. You can change the registry in the following steps:
1. Select start > run and enter regedit
2. to create a backup copy of the registry, select file > export from the Registry Editor window
3. make sure that the export range is set to all and back up the registry
4. navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\National Instruments\Common\Installer\ProductCache, find the right key and change
the path as necessary
Hope this helps,
